Sanjay Kirloskar being awarded as Green Leader

Amanora Park Town (The township being developed by City Corporation Ltd.) in association with ALERT, an NGO for the cause of creating awareness on global warming recently hosted an event to celebrate World Environment Day.

The Green Leader Award 2010 was presented to Sanjay Kirloskar for his excellent contribution in preserving environment.

The event was aimed at bringing sections of the society together to foster mutual understanding towards aiming for a cleaner, more environment friendly & less carbon print/ emissions city

Mr. Kirloskar is confident about 10% revenue growth



Pump maker Kirloskar Brothers expects to maintain revenue growth in the current financial year at about 10 percent and would incur capital expenditure of around 400 million rupees or more, a top official told Reuters after market hours on Thursday

KBL acquired 90% shares in Braybar Limited, South Africa

Kirloskar Brothers Limited (KBL), through Kirloskar Brothers International B.V., Netherlands has acquired 90% shares in Braybar Pumps (Proprietary) Limited, in South Africa.

Braybar Pumps is a well known Company, in manufacture of High Head multistage pumps for dewatering in copper, coal and gold mines and rubber lined slurry pumps. They are also involved in repairs and servicing of various types of pumps. Braybar Pumps specializes in repairs of Split case pumps and enjoys a substantial market share.

Braybar Pumps has well established repair and in-house machining facilities. The acquisition would provide KBL immediate supply and service base, for its products in South African markets.

On the way forward, these facilities can be utilized for assembling various pumps required for the whole South African region as well as supporting KBL with white metal lined bearings which is another product that they manufacture.

The acquisition cost for the business of Braybar Pumps is Rs. 110 millions.

Century of Industrialization of Maharashtra


Kirloskarvadi, the mother plant of Kirloskar Group is celebrating centenary year.

KBL did it yet again!!

In a joint venture ‘KBL – SPML’ has received an order from Bangalore water Supply and sewerage Board, Bangalore, for Civil and Electromechanical Works for Pumping Station and reservoir at T K Halli, Harohalli and Tataguni (Turnkey Contract). The order is for supply of 550 mld clear water to Bangalore city.

The total contract value is Rs. 448.35 crore, wherein KBL’s share is Rs. 224.15 crore.

KBL's scope will be total electro-mechanical package including supply of many Horizontal Split Case Pumps (CAST STEEL) along with 2300 kW / 970RPM / 11 KV HT motors , 2500mm, 1300mm, 900mm, 800mm motorized BFVs, 220 KV sub stations and other electro - mechanical equipments.
